A sign of protest of my own against the RIAA.
The Recording Industry of Association of America.
An organization that has cause the shutdown and downfall of numerous internet radio stations.
Hasn't corporate America made enough money off of us?
Aren't labels rich enough that they have to now DEPRIVE the people that music is made for of the opportunity to listen to it.
Can't we as human beings be given the right to listen to a simple radio station!?
I guess not.
Are we going to have to pay for downloading music and buying CD's AND the right to listen to a simple radio station.
What is the difference between broadcast radio and internet radio.
This extra money being asked for is not going to the actual artists... it's going to labels who already recieve the majority of money made.
I've been personally impacted by the RIAA.
The radiostation of Darktech has been shut down.
I got to know the guys who run it and I'm crushed that they've been brought to the point where they had to shut down their station.
The only thing they are guilty of is trying to bring good music to people.
They didn't do anything besides what a normal everyday radio station does.
What next?!
Are normal broadcast radios going to be shut down too?
I find it to be complete and utter bullshit.
